St George Bank

The St.George Kick Start program exists to help Australian small businesses get started. Whether you have a big idea or an existing business – if you have a great idea you can apply for the program!

You can apply for one of two categories:

1. A new business idea, or
2. An idea to grow an existing business.

Your application will be judged by an independent judging panel from Deloitte who will determine the top 12 finalists. The Top 12 finalists will pitch to win at TEDxSydney in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. The Top 2 winners and top 2 runner up winners will be announced at TEDxSydney and awarded with $40,000 (winners) and $10,000 (runner up).

Applications close June 15, 2020.

Global Landing Pads

Landing Pads provide start-ups with a workspace for up to 90 days in a global innovation hub, along with access to coaching, investors, customers, training and networking events.

The program will establish Landing Pads within global innovation hubs, including San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Shanghai, Berlin and Singapore.

The program will provide successful applicants with a workspace for up to 90 days within an established startup accelerator, giving you the opportunity to work alongside some of the best startup enterprises from around the world and access to an ecosystem of talent, advice and solutions.

You will have access to all the services offered by the accelerator including coaching, introductions to mentors, investors and customers, training opportunities, tailored networking events and state-of-the-art workspace facilities.

Advance QLD - Funding to invest in a Queensland business

The Business Develop Fund provides funding for businesses to help them research or commercialise an innovative product or service.

What do you get?

Between $125,000 and $2.5 million.

 

Who is this for?

Queensland based businesses.

The Business Development Fund provides early stage co-investment funding to innovative Queensland businesses. The Fund invests in businesses that are looking to commercialise new research or innovative ideas, products or services.

Funding of between $125,000 and $2.5 million is available to invest in a Queensland business. The amount invested will not exceed the amount invested by the private sector co-investor.

CSIRO Kick-Start

CSIRO Kick-Start provides matched funding for start-ups and small to medium enterprises to help access CSIRO’s research expertise and capabilities to help grow your business.

What do you get?
Matched funding between $10,000 and $50,000.

Who is this for?
Start-ups and small to medium enterprises.To be eligible, you must:

  • have an Australian company number (ACN)
  • be registered for GST
  • have your primary place of business within Australia
  • demonstrate the ability to dollar-match the funding
  • have an annual turnover of less than $1.5 million, in the current and each of the two previous financial years, or
  • have been a registered company for less than three years
 
Eligibility criteria also apply to the proposed project.
