Cohort Innovation Space is proud to formalise its partnership with the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct (GCHKP), strengthening a long-standing collaboration focused on advancing health, science, and deep technology innovation across South East Queensland.
Located at the heart of Australia’s fastest-growing innovation region, the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct is a globally recognised innovation district where health, science, engineering and deep tech converge. Backed by more than $5 billion in investment across health, research, education and commercial infrastructure, the Precinct is home to leading advancements in biotech, medtech, sportstech, clean energy and digital health. As a key anchor of the regional ecosystem and a member of the Global Institute on Innovation Districts (GIID), GCHKP plays a critical role in translating research into real-world impact.
Cohort Innovation Space has worked closely with GCHKP across major initiatives including the LuminaX HealthTech Accelerator, HealthTech Summit, Amplify Deep Tech Incubator, NextGen Research & Student Incubator, and InvestFest. This partnership builds on that foundation, creating clearer pathways for founders, researchers and businesses to collaborate, commercialise innovation, and scale globally.

Importantly, this partnership provides a direct pathway for industry to engage with Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
For health and life sciences startups, the partnership helps open pathways for clinical trials from Phase 1a through to Phase 4, spanning drugs, vaccines, diagnostics, devices and therapeutic health interventions. These capabilities position the Precinct as a powerful launchpad for health innovations seeking validation, adoption and global relevance.
