The team at Cohort Innovation Space want to wish our community members, partners, mentors, coaches, and supporters the merriest chrissy break! With another year done and dusted, we want to take this moment to celebrate the remarkable achievements within the #CohortCommunity.

For those who’ve recently visited Cohort, the bustling activity this year must have caught your eye. We’ve hosted over 100 events this year, consisting of workshops, meetups, conferences, panels, and demo nights. To break that down even further, we’ve clocked around 500 hours of personalised mentoring sessions and served a staggering 40,000 cups of coffee throughout the year (wow wee).

Fun fact about our coffee, it comes with impact! Our friends at Nice Coffee Co. are an Australian social enterprise that supplies Aussie businesses and households with coffee and machines, using 100% of profits to support St Johns School in Kibera, Africa’s largest slum. So every time you have a cuppa at Cohort know that you’re also helping a good cause.

We’ve also grown our impact in #startupland including empowering Women in HealthTech to backing Australia’s Champions of Change, recognising Mayors for Technology and Innovation Awards, and hosting heaps of Pitch Nights for our early stage founders.

Ah, and not to forget StartMas – the Gold Coast’s startup Christmas party that wraps up the year nicely with a big red bow. We know that the year has been a super busy one, so seeing startups from around the coast get together at Burleigh Heads Bowls Club and reconnect over beers and bowls truly gets our team smiling ear-to-ear.

With 2024 peeking around the corner, we are excited to bring forth more expansive and enriching community events that inspire, connect, and educate. If you feel like you’ve somehow missed our events or want to get involved in 2024, the best way to stay in the loop is to subscribe to our newsletter!
