The Queensland AI Hub and CoSpaces have officially announced today they will unite under a new community management agreement, set to commence from 1 July, 2022.
As a registered Queensland Real Estate Agency, CoSpaces will take over the management of commercial operations, including strategy, leasing, facility management, compliance, asset management, and reporting.
The team will also take the lead on community management, brand and marketing, integrated partnerships, events, activations, and program delivery.
The Queensland AI Hub – the first technology hub of its kind in Australia – is a $5M investment from the Queensland Government as part of the $755 million Advance Queensland initiative established to support businesses and attract tech talent to the sunshine state.
The Hub is backed by Founding Partners KPMG, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and The University of Queensland (UQ) and led by AI Consortium Members KJR, MaxKelsen, 9points, IntelliHQ and AIkademi.
Queensland AI Hub Director and Chairman of the Board, Nicholas Therkelsen-Terry said the appointment of CoSpaces comes as the Queensland AI Hub steps into their next stage of growth.

As we look towards the future, the next stage of the Queensland AI Hub will focus on place and connectivity, ecosystem and community, and leadership and influence.”

CoSpaces Director, Ben Howe, is responsible for establishing and managing some of Queensland’s largest innovation communities, and designing and delivering innovation programs that create more knowledge-based jobs in Queensland across entrepreneurship, technology and the emerging sectors.
