COHORT’s National Science Week Networking Celebration
As a part of the annual National Science Week celebrations, this August COHORT is hosting a free networking event to celebrate the incredible talents and achievements in science, innovation and technology within the Gold Coast Health & Knowledge Precinct.
The event will highlight news of key advancements and achievements from current projects in science, AI and innovation from within the Precinct.
Take for example the work of Griffith University biomechanical scientists and engineers, Professor David Lloyd and Dr Claudio Pizzolato. Together with Dinesh Palipana, as not only their patient but also medical researcher, the team are using a ‘thought control’ model to stimulate muscle activation through personalised rehabilitation from spinal injury.
A highlight on the night will be the Hon Karen Andrews, Federal Minister for Industry, Science and Technology who will be the key speaker for the evening.
In addition, there will be presentations from Mark von Itzstein, Director of the Institute for Glycomics, and Kelvin Ross and Brett Richards, Directors of IntelliHQ.
There are approximately 10,000 people currently employed in the Gold Coast Health & Knowledge Precinct, primarily located in the health, research and education areas.
This event will be the perfect chance to learn from and connect with the diverse number of health and technology specialists situated in the heart of the Health & Knowledge Precinct.
COHORT’s General Manager, Ariana Margetts says this event is not to be missed if you are interested in connecting with Gold Coast’s science organisations.
“This is the perfect opportunity to network with leading scientists, researchers and executives from organisations such as the Institute for Glycomics, IntelliHQ, Griffith University, ADaPT, Life Sciences Australia and CSIRO,” she says.
This free event is limited to 100 people and you must register to attend below.
