Businesses ditch corporate attire for Jeans for Genes Day at COHORT.
Cohort in the Health & Knowledge Precinct will be just one of many corporate workplaces that will be donning denim this Friday 2nd August for Jeans for Genes day.
Businesses around the Gold Coast are encouraged to ditch their corporate attire and dress down later this week in a bid to raise money for Children’s Medical Research.
Established in 1994, Jeans for Genes Day is an annual charity drive that funds revolutionary research to help diagnose, understand, and find cures or treatments for genetic conditions that affect kids.
Cohort, the new innovation space that launched in the Health & Knowledge Precinct in May this year, will host a morning tea that will bring together tenants from over 20 businesses.
“Every dollar donated goes directly to the Children’s Medical Research Institute that in turn will help find treatments and cures for children’s genetic diseases” said Cohort General Manager, Ariana Margetts.
“Working in the Health & Knowledge Precinct has opened our eyes to how big the health industry is in Australia. If every workplace on the Gold Coast jumped on board, collectively the city would have a huge impact in the funds raised this year” Ms Margetts said.
Gold Coast Brand Communications Agency, KK&O, are just one of Cohort’s tenants that will be dressing down this Friday.
“Jeans for Genes day is a great opportunity for those working in an office environment to get involved and raise money for a great cause” – said Ty Kudla, Co-Founder of KK&O.
“Our team are excited and looking forward to rocking some denim for charity!” he said.
